Concerning the Author...

Ok, figured I should get the big thing out of the way.... JK Rowling's opinions about other people's lives....

The claim is that she has her Right to Free Speech (I don't know if the UK specifically has that provision, but it still should be a Universal Human Rights provision), but then what about the people the opinion is being made about? Do they not also have the Right to an opinion about how they wish to live their own lives? And if someone expects the right to an opinion about someone else, then that person better expect other people to have an opinion about their opinion. And if the opinion about someone else's life is negative towards that other person, then expect that the opinions about your opinion to be negative, as well.

It is, otherwise, hypocrisy.

She is spoken against, because she first spoke against others.

Self-assessment is a lost art. As is the art of accepting error.

I do not believe that most of her characters, especially Albus Dumbledore would agree with her bigotry, and we know the actors that portrayed her characters don't support her bigotry.

But, nonetheless, the primary 7-book series is an amazing story that is exceedingly well written, with a vast amount of study that went into developing it. It is a masterful work of literature, and is a part of human history that should not be lost.

Maybe, someday, she will be as Good as her Good Guys.
